The Old Church with the Purple Door
A Sanctuary for the Pathless and the Seeking
Founded by Gussy and Grymm Dupp, High Priestess and Priest to a national coven, The Old Church with the Purple Door is a reclaimed 1906 sanctuary in Horton, Michigan. We have opened our doors to serve as a spiritual home for the greater Jackson pagan community—specifically for those walking their path alone or those seeking the stability and fellowship of a physical temple.
Turning the Wheel Together
At the heart of our practice is the Wheel of the Year. We believe that by aligning ourselves with the shifting seasons, we find balance in our own lives. For the solitary practitioner, holding the energy of the Sabbat alone can be a challenge; here, we provide the space and the collective power to honor these transitions fully.
From the quiet introspection of Samhain to the vibrant fire of Beltane, we host public ceremonies and rituals that allow our community to gather, celebrate, and manifest together.
Our Public Rituals
Our ceremonies are designed to be inclusive, powerful, and educational. When you step through the purple door for a ritual, you are entering a space held by experienced elders dedicated to:

The Purple Door is Open
